Comic Fiesta 2018 Day 1: A good day
22 December 2018, Day one of Comic Fiesta.
So, from my previous post, I have established that I am an anime fan and like most anime fans, anime conventions are a must-go. I mean, not everyone goes to conventions and I'm lucky because I live where anime conventions happen quite often. Though, I only go to two conventions annually. Anyway, I'm lucky enough and this year, I went to three(There was only one con that I regretted going and it's not AMG). Two were planned and one was more of a 'Hey, wanna go to AMG?' and me going 'I'm free so yes'. Needless to say, I spent quite some money on anime stuff this year.
So on 22 December, I went to Comic Fiesta that is held at KLCC this year. I've been going to CF since 2011 although, there were two years that I didn't go because of life stuff. But I fully expected it to be packed.
And I was right.
I left for KLCC early and arrived sometime around 8.30 or so. I was gonna wait for my friend but I got too excited and she said she was gonna be late so by 8.40, I was lining up at the entrance and my gosh there was a lot of people. I actually forgot the doors opened at 10 am so I was regretting it a bit. Until the door opened at 9.30 am. I was eternally grateful because I was getting dizzy standing. (I forgot breakfast which was slightly stupid. I got food immediately after so yay.)
As soon as I got in, I was so focused on one thing and one thing only and that was going towards the creative art booth. I found this artist accidentally on Twitter and I was just so darn happy I did because her stuff is so incredibly cute! If I could, I would have just ran to the booth but I didn't (thankfully). Though when I got to the artists booth, the booth I looked forward to was still setting up.

I didn't take as much pictures though which was a bummer. I had to conserve my phone battery.

Embarrassingly, I hovered over just because I was so adamant on getting her merch first. Reason being I didn't bring lots of money so if I went to other booths, I would have probably spent half of it. I kept walking along the lane and looking at merch before turning back to see if they were already set up. They took quite a while which I don't fault them for, it WAS early. So I waited.
When they were set up, I immediately went to them and spent 70% of the money I brought. No regrets.
After I got that, I stupidly exited, forgetting the second thing I really wanted which was a Shiro (from Voltron) stamp. Realizing that, I had to walk all the way back to the entrance which was far from the exit by the way. But I got in, got to the booth and purchased the stamp. It was one of my favourite purchases of CF.

I got this from beerwolves and this is the artist whose booth I practically ran over to. My most expensive purchase was the enamel pins but it was totally worth it.
Spider-Man and Iron Man enamel pins.

The artist for the stamp is keeko/thesaucerus. I also found this by accident but this was my favourite after the enamel pins. I just know my things would have Shiro all over them. :D
I didn't exit immediately after since I knew I wanted to look at more of the artist booth. But I couldn't for long. My friend finally arrived. I left the event to KLCC (city center instead of convention center) to pick up my friend and get lunch.
By 1.00 pm, I was back in CF, looking at merch and restraining myself from spending way over budget (I already did but still. Not that much over.)
Some of the things I bought:
I found a lot of people I know while I was walking (which I expected. We gather at CF every year tbh.) Also, I got this one merch that I have been waiting for since May and I am so extremely happy because of it. Maybe I'll post pictures of that later. All in all, it was an extremely fun day and I get to meet a lot of my friends who like anime enough to enjoy these things.
I left quite early which was around 2.15 pm or so. It was very early because in the past, I wouldn't have left if it hadn't gone past 3.00pm. But I had exams so I definitely had to leave sadly. I look forward to next year's anime cons mainly AniManGaki and CF. I still don't know if I will be going to CF but AMG, probably will. We'll see.
