22 December 2018, Day one of Comic Fiesta. So, from my previous post, I have established that I am an anime fan and like most anime fans, anime conventions are a must-go. I mean, not everyone goes to conventions and I'm lucky because I live where anime conventions happen quite often. Though, I only go to two conventions annually. Anyway, I'm lucky enough and this year, I went to three (There was only one con that I regretted going and it's not AMG) . Two were planned and one was more of a 'Hey, wanna go to AMG?' and me going 'I'm free so yes'. Needless to say, I spent quite some money on anime stuff this year. I didn't take as much pictures though which was a bummer. I had to conserve my phone battery. So on 22 December, I went to Comic Fiesta that is held at KLCC this year. I have been watching anime before I knew what anime was. As a child, I remember waking up early to watch Cardcaptor Sakura or sleeping late to watch Hell Girl. Only later in life was I introduced to this term 'anime' that basically gave a name to my favourite thing to watch. The one thing that hasn't changed as I transitioned through life is watching anime. True I have some periods where I haven't been keeping up with the anime community but I was still watching really old anime. Anime is a constant in my life to this day. I can't say much about the future but for now, yes I am an anime fan. However, I am not extremely up-to-date with the anime community. I miss a lot of newly-released anime and would only watch them two months, three months or even a year after it was released. New year resolutions are interesting. We plan to make a difference in our life at the end of a year or the start of the next. A lot of thinking and planning go into these new year resolutions, for some of us. Others, write random and vague ones but still with the idea of wanting to change or improve. And there is also a large portion who have them just for the sake of it. My 2018's resolutions was a long list. It was extensive and consisted of way too many things that I plan to change and/or do. However, not all of them were un-achievable. The ones that are actually logical were the ones I failed to do. One of those resolutions is posting on my blog at least twice a month which, to be honest, is something I was actually able to do. But I didn't. Thinking back at it, my reasons for not doing it are irrational and I'd prefer to keep the larger portion of my reasoning to myself.
